The Women’s Golf Association (WGA) has two types of
memberships available-
Regular Member and Associate Member.

A
Regular Member is a woman over 16 years of age who is a
member in good standing of the Ashland Recreation Association
and has paid the yearly WGA dues.  She is a voting WGA member,
can be an elected officer, can serve on a committee, and is eligible
to be a part the 9 –Hole and/or 18 –Hole Interclub.  A Regular
member must have an established USGA GHIN Handicap in order
to compete for prizes in any WGA event that requires a handicap to
determine winners.

An
Associate Member is a woman over 16 years of age who has
paid the yearly WGA dues, but is not a member of the Ashland
Recreation Association.  An Associate member must  have an
established USGA GHIN Handicap in order to compete for prizes in
any WGA event that requires a handicap to determine winners.  She
may serve on committees, but can not vote, hold elected office or be
a part of either the 9-Hole or 18-Hole Interclub.

The WGA is a women`s organization that works toward getting
female members acquainted with other members.

They have weekly events on Wednesdays during the season and
anyone who is a WGA member is eligible for prizes.

Through out the season they also have Mixers for WGA members.
This is an evening shotgun event where the teams are picked at
random by the computer. This is a fun way to get to know other
members at the club.
